Supercolony, an Irvine CA-based game development company, is proud to announce that the exciting Cat-Action RPG, Catopia: Rush will be available in more than 150 countries on Wednesday, April 21st at 1 pm PST on Android as part of our Soft Launch. The iOS version will be available soon after.
Catopia: Rush is a portrait-oriented mobile game set to launch globally on iOS and Android on June 2nd of this year. Players control a Hero Cat alongside a team of three other allies through a simple but fun to master system of one-handed mechanics. Similar to a MOBA, the Hero Cat automatically attacks when not moving, putting an emphasis on dodging incoming attacks. Players that are familiar with games like Archero will feel right at home with Catopia: Rush. Outside of the arcadey action, there are tons of ways to upgrade characters and team strategies to explore. Plus, we have a robust idle system for those that like to play in bursts and gather items.
While major regions like the United States and Japan are excluded until the Global Launch, players in available regions can start assembling their team of heroic cats and enjoy new features that have been implemented following a successful open beta test with more than 29k players. Since then, we have added special moves to our five Hero Cats, special stages to gain particular resources, and a scoring system with competitive leaderboards to name a few of the many changes we are proud to share.
We have previously revealed the languages that will be supported in Catopia: Rush on our website but we already have ten languages available for the Soft Launch release. Those languages include English, Indonesian, Italian, Malay, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
To further celebrate the Soft Launch, we have dropped a new animated trailer that sets the stage for this quirky adventure.
For those that cannot get enough Catopia content, we have the delightfully silly but wholesome webcomic Catopia University, which is available for free on both Tapas and Webtoon. The story is a bit of a prequel scenario that imagines Leon’s college career and his acclimation into the Kingdom of Catopia. We also invite everyone to our social media channels which have additional game information as well as lighthearted fun.
